We met Systema Solar on the caribbean coast of Colombia, just before they release their first album. They made us listen to their songs and we had an immediate crush on their music.. We had never heard anything alike before. it seemed like it was a synthesis of everything we liked and everything we were expecting for in terms of music to dance to: the power of the machines, the groove of the percussions, the amazing flow of the vocalists, and a very strong visual identity inspired by the “piko” soundsystem culture of the coast.
They told us we could release any song we liked along with some remix.. First released for “El Cartel De Los Sapos” soundtrack, a colombian tv show (and later on in Oliver Stone’s motion picture “Savages”) Quien Es El patron , had this potential of becoming an hit on the planet’s dancefloor..so we produced this EP .
Krak In Dub rmx is going for minimal and abstract hip hop, with dub technique and blips and glitches all the way through.
Charles Tox uptempo’ rmx is more dedicated to the dance floor, with devastating synths and basslines.
