Hailing from Medellin, Colombia, Killabeatmaker is a Global Bass DJ / Producer, audio engineer, singer and songwriter; a multi-faceted artist you’ll be hearing a lot about in the near future. Drawing his inspiration from his Afro-Colombian and Indigenous roots, Killabeatmaker efficiently mixes traditional sounds and rhythms with urban beats and raw club music. An active use of his vocals, freestyle, and beat boxing skills in his DJ sets makes him a thrilling live performer as well.
Killabeatmaker’s debut EP Fauna, released back in June 2019, is all about the diversity and luxuriousness of Colombian nature, how it’s being endangered and we should protect it. Here at Galletas Calientes Records, we’ve decided to include part of this EP to our Colombian Singles Series, taking in three original uptempo cuts directly aimed at worldwide dance floors; a half Industrial, half tropical adventure, packed with progressive buildups and Afro-House beats, all served by female singer NAKI’s uplifting, shamanic vocals.

Although his solo project is fresh out of the box (2018), Killabeatmaker has been working in the music industry for the past 20 years as an artist, producer, audio engineer, songwriter and music production teacher, and performed in more than 80 shows in Colombia and in 11 different European countries.
He’s also known as the frontman of Latin urban band Radiocaliente, whom he went on tour with in the US (SXSW 2017), Colombia (Altavoz International), Chile (Imesur 2017) and Peru, opening for top Latin alternative artists like Bomba Estereo, Chocquibtown and Mala Rodriguez.
As a producer, he also works with emerging reggaeton artist Rivillas and Colombian artists such as Juan Astronauta, Tairona and Katherine con K. He’s been collaborating as a producer and sound engineer with the likes of Toby Tobon (Juanes, Sebastian Yatra) with whom he has a Latin Grammy nomination for working on the album Dontetto: Dontetto, 2014.
